How to Fix CD/DVD player read and write problems?

This is a bit complicated so we have to be very careful in doing so. The main goal that we have is to Delete the Upper and Lower Filters on your registry, and that's what makes it complicated.

To start with;
>Click on START
>Type REGEDIT on the search bar on START Menu
>Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
>Expand SYSTEM
>Expand CurrentControlSet
>Expand Control
>Expand Class
>Click {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
>Look for the Upper Filters / right click on it / click on Delete
>Look for the Lower Filters / right click on it / click on Delete
>There are instances wherein only one of them is present, regardless of that, still delete it.
>Restart computer
>Try you CD / DVD ROM

Doing those steps should fix the issue. There will be instances that these steps fail in cases of hardware issue. Reseating the Optical Drive can be tried to fix the problem, but if you are not comfortable in doing so, you need to approach your local technician for assistance.
