Car loses power while acceleration?

This problem is noticed on 1994 Chevrolet silverado model.

When you accelerate the car, the amount of fuel flow increases. But if required flow of fuel is not maintained, then engine will starve for fuel and car will lose power due to lack of fuel economy.

In this case it can be problem with fuel filter or distributor cap and rotor.

When was the last time this parts were replaced. If its very long time, then this parts needs to be inspected and replaced.

You need to check the fuel filter again and you can change it if its very old or worn out/dirty. Also check the cap and rotor for corrosion if those turned out to be good and test the fuel pressure when this is happening. It may be dropping down due to a weak pump.If the fuel pressure is checked low, then problem is faulty fuel pump.

Getting this possibilities checked properly will help you to confirm the problem.

Thanks.
